Poets & Writers, 2011 MFA Rankings: Goddard College, where I earned an MFA in Creative Writing (poetry), was ranked as one of The Top Ten Low-Residency MFA Programs in the Nation.  http://www.pw.org/content/2011_mfa_rankings_the_top_ten_lowresidency_programs

I am happy to have studied at Goddard and truly believe in the Goddard process. My first semester advisor, Michael Klein http://www.boypoet.com/ , and second semester advisor, Elena Georgiou http://elenageorgiou.blogspot.com/  , were excellent and perceptive advisors whose invaluable insights helped me to improve poetic craft, take risks, and continue on my journey. I also met a wonderful, supportive community of writers who will, undoubtedly, become life-long friends.  My third semester advisor, Jan Clausen http://www.ablationsite.org/
, had an eagle's eye in looking at my work and was able to see things that I had not imagined before.  In my fourth and final semester at Goddard, I had Elena Georgiou as my advisor and Bhanu Kapil http://www.poetryfoundation.org/bio/bhanu-kapil as my second reader.  Elena and Bhanu's feedback on my thesis were invaluable. I am truly grateful for the Goddard experience - all the books I read, all the people I met, all the writing I did, and my growth both as a person and as a writer.

And Goddard College was again ranked in Poets & Writers as one of The Top Ten Low-Residency MFA Programs in the Nation in 2012.

To read essays on writing by Michael Klein, Elena Georgiou, Jan Clausen, Bhanu Kapil, and other Goddard College faculty, read Alchemy of the Word: Writers Talk About Writing. I highly recommend this book. http://www.calartsandletters.org/alchemy-of-the-word/
